BAUHINIA is a little town situated where the Duaringa Road meets the Dawson Highway, halfway between Moura and Rolleston.
Bauhinia is in the middle of a grazing and farming district where everything from wheat to sorghum is grown. With a few houses, a school, hall and a store, it might be a tiny place but most people who visit are impressed by the tennis courts that have been constructed there.
For home-cooked meals, drop in to the Bauhinia Store and Caravan Park, which is a one-stop shop selling fuel (petrol and diesel, LPG refills too), groceries and hardware goods. You can even buy gifts and souvenirs there.
If you’re towing a van, stay the night at the caravan park which has powered sites as well as on-site van accommodation.
