WHILE in Aramac, visit the Tramway Museum and revel in the history of a small community’s self sufficiency when the government made the decision not to include Aramac on the rail map. The museum displays “Aunt Emma,” the tram that was privately owned and operated between Aramac and Barcaldine.
The museum is a collectors’ delight, with lots of other old relics including a drawn grader, a drawn ripper, a hearse, telephones, cameras and train carriages..
