Boulia - just getting there is an experience in fascinating landscape. One of the highlights of a trip to Boulia, coming from the Winton direction, is seeing the curiously flat-topped hills.

Stop at the Cawnpore Lookout to admire the scenery and take photographs, for these kinds of hills have been found only in Australia and South America.
