EVERYONE knows how great it feels to have a good stretch. At Eulo, they’ve taken the beauty of the stretch to new dimensions - a stretch bath where you can enjoy your own outback beauty treatment.

It’s just the thing when you’re in the mood to share a relaxing hour, a little wine and some nibblies like dates, figs, pickled onions and savoury biscuits – along with some wine or, if you prefer, tea or coffee. And as well as being relaxing, it’s the kind of experience advised by beauticians the world over - a mud bath!

Eulo is one of the few places where artesian water, mixed with clay from shales deep below the earth’s surface, rises all the way to ground level. This phenomenon is known as mud springs. The clay found at these springs is rich in minerals like silica, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron and zinc.

When you have your mud experience at Palm Grove, you can choose between an indoor bath or an open-air one (with thatched walls, though!). Soak in warm artesian water impregnated with clay, then follow up with a milky grey mud pack to let your skin soak in the goodness from this mineral-rich mud. The whole experience takes about an hour and a half and might be the most relaxing experience of your trip! Mud baths are by appointment only, so you should ring ahead.

Night mud baths are most popular with people staying overnight at the pub because it gives them the opportunity to soak up views of the night sky as well.
