Jundah is the administrative centre for the Barcoo Shire, which encompasses the towns of Windorah, Jundah and Stonehenge.

It's a diverse shire, where people can discover everything from towering red sandhills to the diversity of Welford National Park to the placid relaxation of fishing in one of the shire's rivers. There are also ruins to visit and in Jundah itself, a reminder of the pioneering history can be found at the town museum.
