IF YOU'RE a fishing enthusiast as well as a person who likes to be warm in the mid-year months, Karumba is a winter paradise.

Helping to make it a fish-filled paradise for visitors are Robert and Kathy Harding of Kathryn M Charters. Robert has fished all his life, and nowadays he likes to see others catch the big ones.

You don’t even have to know how to fish, for Robert will give you a quick lesson that will set you on the path of success. All bait and gear are supplied. Robert and Kathy are conservation minded, and any small or excess fish are tagged and released.

Sometimes at the end of the day, Kathy joins the Kathryn M for a sunset tour. A short cruise up the Norman River is followed by a trip into the Gulf waters. Watch the sun set across the Gulf of Carpentaria and enjoy wine and nibblies while dangling a line.

The Kathryn M has state-of-the-art electronics on board and features a shade canopy.
