THE LONGREACH Yellowbelly Classic will be staged from August 24 to 26 this year. Join all the action of this catch-and-release competition, which is open to both land and boat anglers and will feature major prizes for adult and junior classes. See if you can catch the longest yellowbelly, catfish, bream or Barcoo grunter. And that’s not all. There will be lucky draw prizes, mystery prizes and even a hand reel casting competition.

The event is held on the Thomson River, and free camping is available. Friday night and Saturday night entertainment is laid on, and yabby auctions and races add to the fun both nights.
