WHETHER you have your own car or have arrived in Longreach by train, plane or coach, there’s nothing quite like being accommodated in the heart of town.
The Longreach Motel is the only motel right in the centre of town. When you stay there, everything is so handy. You’re in walking distance of the supermarket, the cinema and banks. Once you’ve parked your car after a day of sightseeing, it’s easy to walk pretty much anywhere you want to go.
On the nights when you don’t have your evening meal at the motel, choose between five restaurants within 100m of the motel.
David and Dee Henshall run the Longreach Motel with the creed, “Service is our aim”, so those little extras - like courtesy transport when it’s needed - are all available. You can also book tours of Longreach or to Winton-Lark Quarry or Isisford-Blackall-Barcaldine from the motel.
Breakfast can be cooked or continental- eaten at your unit or the picnic table under the trees. You can even organise to have a cut lunch prepared if you’re going off on an all-day jaunt to one of the area’s attractions. The units are air conditioned and have queen size beds.
