Tambo is the oldest little town in the west - in western Queensland, at any rate.
Take a walk around town and see some of the heritage buildings, some of them quite humble but fascinating nevertheless.
Visit the home of Tambo Teddies. It was originally the shire chambers and has done service as everything else from a bakery to a house of illrepute! Nowadays, it's the place where lovable sheepskin teddies are created.
Take a trip around the Wilderness Heritage Trail, which ventures into the Salvator Rosa section of Carnarvon National Park. |
